Chico's Charities Giving Philosopy The Chico’s family was built on kind spirits, customer care, and community support. We understand that our communities have made Chico’s successful and we are privileged to give back to both our associates and our communities.  We support our communities in various ways with a predominant focus on women, children, health, education, and the environment. The unique culture created at Chico’s inception has carried through years later.  From day one, we have followed the Chico’s way of life by valuing our customers, maintaining an entrepreneurial spirit, providing personal service, and fostering individual commitment, creativity, innovative energy, a positive attitude, respect for all, honesty, confidence, teamwork, and personal growth. We feel these are the threads that tie our clothing into the fabric of community, family, and all of humanity. It is a philosophy that is maintained through our associations and through our associates.  Over the last several years, Chico’s has contributed to organizations with focuses on women, children, health, education and the environment.   For example, Chico’s has given to the Scholarship Program at Florida Gulf Coast University, Local Women’s Shelters, Step Up for Students scholarship program, the Lee County Education Foundation, the Make-A-Wish Foundation, the American Cancer Society, and the Lee County United Way, just to name a few.   And hurricane season has only started!   Last year, Chico’s donated over $250,000 for hurricane victims. Chico’s has also developed other ways to help the community too.  Chico’s seeks to build better days in our community by creating the Community Service Day program.  This program allows all associates to take one paid day off each year to volunteer at a non-profit agency and still be paid for the day of work.  Chico’s also assists the community by providing volunteers for events and fundraisers throughout the Southwest Florida Area.
